Morecambe and district pool league Captains Meeting 6/2/06 1.Welcome to everyone present 2.Apologies from – Cliff Vice Chairman due to playing doubles comp. Shipwreckers rang earlier with their apologies. 3.Teams present (Seen Below) 4.Thanks from Pat Chambers to the committee for all their hard work during her absence 5.Millboys – The following unacceptable behaviours was brought to the attention of everyone. Unregistered Players, Dancing round tables during games, Drunk and howling during games. It was also noted at the previous meeting (held at Ma Murphys) that the Millboys and the Park Hotel had been given a final verbal warning for their in unacceptable behaviour. There was no representative from the Millboys even though a request for one had been made. It was put forward that they should be banned from the league, and this was put to the vote. With a unanimous descision by the show of hands they are now banned. 6.Regency Caravan Park will play their final game, from the Megazone, and not at their home venue. 7.Cup match – Battery against Regency C V. There was a problem with the Regency not ringing to check whether their under aged player could play at the venue before the game. Unfortunately the Battery had a policy of No Children, the Regency refused to play any of the match. The game was given to the Battery. 8.All captains are responsible for handing in their own sheets. Should you hand your sheets to the opposition and they are not handed in on time, it is still your responsibity. 9.Sponsorship of league and Competitions – A few pubs have played an interest in sponsoring some competitions, so the present situation will be reviewed. 10.Re-arranged games for competitions must be played before actual date of play or the Committee informed before hand to enable them to complete the appropriate paperwork and inform the sponsors.
